The rapid present-day development of science has its major impediment in the
distribution and interpretation of data. Journal publications are
so limited with respect to volume and the number of figures that they usually
do not allow the reader to understand, where the border lies between the
results and their interpretation. This is especially important in ecology.
In view of this consideration, this homepage is an experiment with the
electronic publication of the results, in parallel with the
routine scientific publication. Primary data, which in routine publications
are usually obscured by the selection and mathematical processing,
here are available for analysis and interpretation. This homepage allow
step-by-step tracing of an investigation with simultaneous access to the
rich illustrative and additional material.
